Got my own thread, old man. How's that for Proof of Life?

Dino saw a look pass over her for a moment. Was he pushing the woman away already? He could usually reel them in, but never hold on once they got to know
what he did or how he lived. He may act like good time Charlie at times, but his life most of the time wasn't. Hmm, this girl had lived out of boxes and
suitcases. Maybe she wouldn't mind his vagabond lifestyle.
Christ, what was wrong with him? He just met her and was looking for a little fun, comfort and female companionship. Was it this last job again or just the damned Vicodin? He sat down, which felt really good, and called after her. "Nice place, Luce. I am way more interesting than my handsome face as I'm sure you are more far interesting than your magnificent beauty...if that is even possible." He grinned at her when she walked with a steaming cup of coffee. "Now that smells wonderful."

Smiling she handed him a cup sitting on her feet next to him. "Interesting, handsome, and not so humble my kind of guy." She chuckled. "I'm
sure all the flattery is to get into that little door behind me. Sorry honey it's not that easy. You're going to have to intrigue me. Tell me what
makes you so interesting, you mentioned the military are you in service?"

"Little door? Is there a hidden secret place back there, Luce?" Dino chuckled and craned his neck to look. "Let's see, intrigue,
huh?" Dino rubbed his hand over his face, feeling a slight bit of prickly red stubble. "I was in the military for a lot of years. Semper Fi.
United States Marine Corps. My unique set of office skills came in handy in the public sector. I've been working in kidnap and ransom for the last 10
years. Started our own business a couple of years ago with a pain in the ass Aussie who's also my best friend. In my line of work it's best not to
have your face plastered all over a paper or magazine. That was the answer to your earlier question, Lucinda."
Dino shifted in his chair. The effect of either the pain medication or alcohol or the combination of both was wearing off. He took a long swallow of the coffee. "Damn fine cup of coffee."

As he talked she grinned. He had a nice laugh, gave her the feeling there was something more to this man than all his flash. "Thanks I've been known
to brew a mean pot. She sipped her coffee. Ex military. he mentioned kidnap and ransom, yet he has a wounded arm. Maybe he's part of an extraction team.
"That's how you were wounded was on the job."Tilting her head as she took a sip she set the cup down and focused on him. "What do you do
with kidnap and ransom?" She smiled. "I admit you have me intrigued, and completely interested."

He liked her easy smile. Sexy as hell. And she brewed a mean cup of coffee. All pluses in his book. "The arm wound was an on the job injury.
Hazard of the job sometimes. Good I was wearing a vest." Dino gave a disarming grin. He hadn't mentioned that he was also shot in the chest, but
his vest stopped that bullet and gave him a helluva bruise. Dino knew he'd eventually have to give up field work, but it really was his forte. He
wasn't ready to sit behind a desk for the rest of his life. It would drive him crazy. He had too much energy. But, the weariness he felt after this job
indicated to him some change had to be made in his life. He wasn't sure what that was yet.

With a laugh she nodded, refilling his cup she called out. "Hungry? I've got some great spicy wings." Not really waiting for his answer she
tossed them on a pan and into the oven. Despite his lively manner she could see he was what she would call world weary. Lucinda had been in war zones armed
with a camera but she could see the effects those places had on the soldier and civilian alike. Hell, it had left its mark on her.
Brining back his cup she smiled settling next to him. "This last one was bad then." She took his hand looking at them, hands told stories, then she looked back up into his handsome face. "I'm glad you made it back to the Tiki." Letting go of his hand she grinned and took another drink of her own mug. "Well, all that for business. I can't wait to hear what you like to do for fun." |

Dino looked at her. Not hiding his amazement. She seemed to understand and see inside his fatigue. Not many women had that ability unless they were soldiers
themselves. "The last job did not go as planned. The outcome did end up favorably."
He looked into her eyes and smiling face. He looked beyond her physical beauty. He liked what he saw. He slid his hand over the one she'd been touching him with. "I'm glad I made it back to the Tiki. I was drawn to a place that felt like home. Scarlet's place feels like that to me." "I work hard, Luce. I play hard. I like to listen to jazz. I like to dance the tango. I like to golf despite the fact it's the most maddening game that was ever invented." He took her hand and brought her fingers to his lips. He touched her fingers gently to his lips. "I'd like to take you to dinner and dancing, Lucinda. I'd like to show you my fun." Dino was very attracted to her. He'd also like to give and show her pleasure. "I'd like to taste your great spicy wings." A grin spread across his face.

She gave him a wicked little grin back ."I think you just did." Getting up she pulled the food from the oven and tossed them all on one big plate.
She grabbed the pot of coffee and a pile of napkins. "Here you are some other great spicy wings." Topping off their cups she picked up a wing blowing
on it. "I'd love to go out to dinner and dancing and see your fun. Love to tango. Though I wouldn't count golf as playing hard it's still
fun."
She wiped a bit of sauce from the corner of his mouth. "You are quite the fella I believe Dino. Scarlet mentioned you staying there? Do you have a place to stay?" |
|||
Dino06 |
|||
|
"Golf may not be playing hard, but you must admit it's hard to play. You're on for dinner and dancing." Dino shot her a look when she wiped the sauce from his mouth. If he was 100% at the moment, his hand would have caught that finger and sucked it into his mouth before it got away. Instead he dipped his index finger into the spicy sauce on one of the wings. He held his finger out to her. "Care to taste one of my great spicy wings, Luce?" "Scarlet is a good friend of mine and was offering a place to flop if I was unable to make it out of the Tiki Lounge under my own two feet. Seems like your coffee and company has taken care of the problem. I drove right down from the medical clinic where I was seen when I got Stateside. I had no chance to get a room yet." Dino held his finger out in offer to her again. His eyes were looking deeply into hers. "Are you offering me a place to stay, Lucinda?" He arched an eyebrow in question. His look showing that he was very amenable to the idea of an offer for a place to stay and sleep or a bedroom to share for the night with a beautiful interesting woman.

Luce liked him, a lot. Dino was charming, fascinating, fun, and sexy. There was passion in his eyes as he looked at her, but he was also weary and just coming
back after a rough job. Something about him set her at ease. Grinning she leaned over, her lips wrapping around his finger as she sucked off the spicy sauce as
she sat back. "Yes, I am offering you a place to stay. I've only got the one room so I hope you don't snore." She gave him a playfully
wicked grin.
|
|||
Dino06 |

|
"No problem. I only snore like a freight train and sleep walk on odd nights. I think tonight's an even day, so we're all right." Dino
chuckled. He liked this girl.
"Oh, wait. There's something on your mouth." He leaned closer. "Yep, I knew it. It's that great spicy sauce. You missed some, Luce." Dino moved closer. His tongue licked the corner of her mouth and then kissed her lips.

His lips were soft tentative. This wasn't her, she was playful, flirtatious, a never on the first date kinda girl. Yet something about this man disarmed her completely. The moment she felt his breath on her skin Luce knew how this night would end. Maybe for a little while she could make him forget the weariness and the pain of his injury. Grinning when he moved back just a bit she slid her hand to the nape of his neck pulling him back. "I think you missed some." Lucinda kissed him with full unyielding passion. |

Dino wasn't going to miss any part of Luce's mouth this time with her full invite and full on court press of lips. He grinned when they broke for a
breath and then dove on back in for more. He slipped his tongue into her mouth to engage hers. After all he couldn't miss anything anywhere and intended
to explore all of it. This time when they broke breathless, a big smile spread across his face. He brushed a finger across her soft cheek.
"Luce, I was just imagining your naked body beneath mine while I licked barbecue sauce off your body." He ran the tips his fingers up her soft downy arm and then slipped the backs of his fingers slowly down along the same route. He leaned in and kissed her earlobe, nibbling on it. He whispered to her. "Luce, unlock the mysteries of that room back there with me." Dino's lips crushed down on hers again. The night was definitely looking up.

Shivering at his touch she grinned as they parted again. Damn could the man kiss, and this wasn't even a hundred percent! Smiling she caressed his face.
"No mysteries here, handsome. What you see is what you get." She stood pulling him with her giving him a playful nudge toward the bedroom. Luce
disappeared into the kitchen for a moment then walked past him putting a new bottle of barbecue sauce in his hand. With a smile she pulled off her tee and
stepped into the bedroom. "Anything else you need?"

Dino watched her appreciatively. "There's only one thing I need, beautiful. And I'm looking at her." He looked at the barbecue sauce in his hand. "With or without garnish, I see all I want and need for the night." He followed her into her bedroom and took a glance around the room. Dino didn't have much time for the decor. His eyes were burning with desire for the beauteous Luce. He set the bottle of barbecue sauce on the bedstand and strode toward her. He saw the goosebumps cover her flesh as he looked at her. "C'mere, Lucinda. You're way too far away." Dino pulled her into his arms. His lips crushed down on hers. When they broke for air, he murmured. "There's something in the way of my hands, Luce." He deftly unhooked her bra, pulled it off and let it drop to the floor. His large hands caressed across the smooth skin of her back as he folded her into his arms. "Take me to your bed, Luce. As long as you promise to still respect me in the morning." The devilish sparkle in his eyes was soon masked by the burn of desire for the woman in his arms.

His hands felt so good over her skin. Lucinda looked up into his eyes with a passion of her own, her hands sliding under his tee pulling it up over his head.
She smiled as she settled her bare skin against his. "I'll respect you, I might even make you breakfast."
Kissing him deeply she undid the button and zip on his pants. Closing her hand around him she stroked as she pushed the cloth away from them. She felt his hands taking off her shorts as she walked backwards toward the bed. Kneeling on the edge she cupped his face. "It's been a while." A wicked little grin crossed her lips they brushed his. "So don't be gentle with me." |

This was gonna hurt, but Dino didn't give a shit. "Luce, you have no idea."
He scooped her up in his arms despite the bandaged one screaming out in protest. Dino plopped her down on the bed and dove in after her. He kissed her like there was no tomorrow. His good arm shot out and found the barbecue sauce with his fingers. He twisted the lid off the bottle and drizzed some sauce across her chest. Dino got a positively wicked grin on his face. "Lucinda if you don't want me to be gentle, I better marinate you before I put you on my spit. I gotta have a taste to make sure all the spices are right." So he did.

With a shiver as his tongue traced along the sauce Luce grinned back. "Mmmmm well a good chef does have to taste what he's preparing." Pulling
his face to hers for a kiss she licked sauce off his chin before moving to his mouth. She let him go, "You taste pretty good."
Rolling them over she took the bottle from him returning the favor. Looking up into his face she traced the line of sauce down his firm body. Between licks she spoke. "For good barbecue you need to cook it real slow so it heats throughly. Almost burning." When she reached her destination Luce took him all in before she began to move slowly. |

Dino moaned from the touch of her mouth. His fingers slipped into her hair. "It's cooking and it's hot, Luce. And it'll be burning for you
real soon. I'm ready for you as soon as you get done with the prep work down there, Lucinda."
He threw his head back and moaned again. His reply came out more strangled. "It doesn't require too much basting. It's ready to go in the oven anytime. Let me preheat you, Luce."

Not able to help it she giggled giving him one last long lick before kissing her way back up to his side. Whatever else this man was he was fun. As she kissed
his neck she thought when was the last time sex was this much fun? Her thoughts stopped when she saw the large dark bruise on his chest. He had said
it was lucky he had on a vest. Gently she kissed the tender area then moved back to his face looking into his eyes then kissing him deeply. Luce felt like she
had almost lost him, even though he wasn't really hers to lose. In between kisses they would take a short breath then she would pull him back. The need to
feel his hands over her flesh was overwhelming. "I'm all yours chef prepare me how ever you like.."
