Grace was hoping for a kiss, but this was unexpected. Then again, everything about Colin and his affect on her was unexpected. This isn't what usually happened when she met a man. She was used to being wined and dined by a suave and polished man who seemed too charming for his own good. Dates were polite, casual, and ended with a chaste kiss. In some cases, the flirtations would gradually build up enough to lead to the bedroom. All of that seemed like the right thing to do. The only thing to do.
Colin was changing her mind about that. He was opening up this whole other side of Grace. The side that made her want to forget about any of the unwritten rules that had to be followed about when, where, and how you would respond to your attraction to someone.
When Colin touched and kissed her, Grace would forget about where she was. She didn't care if they were in a deep embrace right outside the Tiki Lounge. As far as she was concerned, no one else existed except Colin and herself.
Grace let Colin pull her close as he wanted. She could tell how much he desired her. With the way her pulse raced, her breathing quickened, and her hands trembled, he would be able to tell she desired him also. Her hands lifted to his face and she gave in to his passionate kiss. She could feel Colin's presence all over her. For a moment, she pictured them laying in bed together.
It took a few moments longer before Grace eased away from the kiss. She sighed deeply and tried to speak but her voice came out just above a whisper. "Colin," She wanted to tell him how much she'd like to stay with him tonight. But, she couldn't do that. She needed to tell him that they would see each other tomorrow. But, she couldn't get those words out either.
